“Fetal Medicine from -1 Year”—a concept that begins medical care before birth. Japan is becoming a destination for professionals seeking to explore this unique and rapidly evolving field. This page introduces a training program supervised by Dr. Nobuhiko Hayashi, director of the FMF Fetal Clinic Tokyo Bay Makuhari, one of Japan’s leading fetal medicine centers accredited by the Fetal Medicine Foundation(FMF).
Whether you are a new graduate or a practicing healthcare professional, this program offers an immersive experience in fetal diagnostics, team-based care, and global-standard training in a welcoming environment.

FMF Fetal Clinic Tokyo Bay Makuhari is one of the few medical institutions in Japan specializing exclusively in fetal diagnosis and counseling.
Under the leadership of Dr. Nobuhiko Hayashi—FMF-certified physician and pioneer in prenatal care—the clinic offers hands-on training rooted in evidence-based protocols and international collaboration.
“The fetus is also a patient. Our role is to care, guide, and support families starting from before birth.”
Through this training initiative, participants gain direct exposure to real-world clinical cases, interdisciplinary teamwork, and FMF-standard procedures such as Nuchal translucency measurement and fetal anomaly scanning.
